RIdgeons Group has won the Training Initiative of the Year category at the 2009 Builders Merchants Awards for Excellence.
The company was chosen by the judges for its training programme, focusing on new building methods and materials designed to address climate change, and run in collaboration with Cambridge Regional College.
The scheme was designed to help Ridgeons staff develop and share their expertise with customers. Employees were chosen for the training because they were first point of customer contact and had already demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment.
RIdgeons group commercial director Nick Sims said the company was “thrilled” to receive the award. “It more than justifies the investment we make in our staff development and customer service,” he said.
