Coillte Panel Products marketing and business development director Geoff Rhodes was the largest fund-raiser in the Southend 26-mile Bikeathon for the second year running, thanks to many in the timber industry.
Last year Mr Rhodes raised £1,614.55, including gift aid, for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, up from the £1,320 he raised in 2009.
“Thanks to the generosity of so many people I managed to raise a substantial sum. I’d like to thank all those in the trade who supported me for this worthwhile charitable event,” said Mr Rhodes.
