The Building Component Manufacturers Conference (BCMC) in Charlotte, North Carolina, earlier this month attracted a record number of 1,500 component makers.
Officials also said 2,800 people visited the three-day event.
The Southern Forest Products Association commented: “This was a great BCMC for the Southern Pine Council (SPC) due to the large number of component manufacturers attending, combined with the location in southern pine territory.”
The SPC has just released its expanded Five-Year Softwood Lumber Outlook for production 2004-2009, which describes market share by sectors and species.
