Thieves manhandled eight tonnes of decking timber and finished Aggredeck in an overnight raid on a timber and joinery company that netted materials worth an estimated £15,000.

Chris Burrell, owner of CB Solutions, in East Yorkshire, said the theft took place at its manufacturing site in Lissett before Easter when a high volume of orders were going through. The thieves got away with finished hardwood decking, including balau boards, and timber awaiting engineering for anti-slip inserts.

“We think it must have been planned as they seemed to know exactly what to take. They only took the high value decking and hardwood. We have automatic shutdown, nothing was working; you could tell by the way the pallets were left that they had loaded everything by hand,” Mr Burrell said.
