On May 11,W Howard was awarded ISO 9001:2000 accreditation which, according to operations director Graham Williams, was one of the company’s long-term goals to improve the quality of its output and business performance, an aim put in place after the mouldings firm received FSC accreditation and Investor in People status.
“We needed to identify various levels of formal and independent accreditation that would underpin and enhance our overall business strategy,” said Mr Williams.
“[ISO 9001:2000] has provided W Howard with a huge boost and means we are now better equiped than ever to meet and exceed the expectations of our customers.”
Mr Williams added that the company now planned to achieve ISO 14001 and OHSA18001 accreditation by the end of 2007 to generate the “utmost confidence in our business”.
