Puhos Board (UK) Ltd has been appointed sole supply partner for Trus Joist (TJ) engineered wood products in England, Scotland and Wales.
The appointment will mean TJ products, including the Silent Floor System, will be imported to Rochester, where Puhos has port, warehouse and processing facilities through its partnerships with Transit Medway and Preseal Boards.
Until now TJ products have been supplied to distributors through Puhos and Crown Timber plc. Crown’s involvement will end in March, following the company’s appointment as Boise Cascade’s UK and Ireland wholesale distributor.
Puhos said the complementary nature of its Weather Dek2 flooring and TJ products had encouraged the two companies to mount joint technical and promotional campaigns, which have revealed a synergy between the businesses.
Meanwhile Boise said Cirencester-based Crown’s wholesale distribution and import facilities would complement Boise’s existing retail distribution product supply chain.
