A unique scheme which matches woodland to new owners has been launched by The Woodland Trust.
Called the Conservation Land Trust (CLT), the scheme aims to protect habitats and prevent loss of biodiversity.
Part of the scheme is a brokerage service whereby the CLT, through its database, will try to match new owners to land offered either as a gift or for sale.
CLT will also provide a legal safeguard to ensure that the land is maintained for conservation through a “conservation covenant”.
