Richard Burbidge Ltd employees Edward Critchell and Brian Stanley have been recognised for 40 years of service at the company with a visit from the Duke of Gloucester.

Prince Richard visited Richard Burbidge’s Oswestry factory and was given a tour of the company’s product design area, where decorative balustrades and mouldings are developed by the timber manufacturing firm.

And in addition to looking around the factory, Prince Richard presented Mr Critchell and Mr Stanley with gifts celebrating their 40 years with the company.

“It was a great honour to receive a royal visit,” said chairman Richard Burbidge.

“We were also delighted that he agreed to make a small presentation to two long serving members of staff.”
