Prime minister Gordon Brown was briefed on the issues facing the wood panel industry during a visit to Norbord’s Cowie plant last week.
The prime minister met workers and apprentices and learnt how the company had adapted its business to the recession.
He was also shown a biomass plant, opened by Malcolm Wickes MP on 2008.
