The second bi-annual Global Lumber/Sawn Wood Cost Benchmarking Report, 2005 is to be published in June.
The publication will include updated information on the competitiveness of various regions within the global lumber and sawn wood industry, plus log and manufacturing costs and overviews of timber harvest and lumber supply/demand.
Countries and regions covered include Canada, the US, Europe, the Southern Hemisphere and Asia.
The report, based on data from more than 200 mills, is being drawn up by PricewaterhouseCoopers, International WOOD Markets Research Inc and the Beck Group.
