Timber frame designer and manufacturer Prestoplan has expanded its management team with the appointment of seven new managers.

They include Marchel Van Acker who has been appointed project manager for the south-east. Mr Van Acker trained as a joiner in his native South Africa and previously worked for building companies as a site manager specialising in timber frame.

Prestoplan has also appointed Karl Simpkins as key account manager for the Midlands area. He was previously a senior designer and account manager for Palgrave Brown.

In addition, Prestoplan has appointed some new site managers throughout the UK. They include Peter Miller, Prestoplan’s site manager for the West Midlands, who has worked in the construction industry for 20 years and previously ran his own industrial fencing company.

Martin Walker, who ran his own general building company in Exeter, and Danny Thompson become site managers for the south-west, while John Knight has been promoted from within Prestoplan to the position of site manager for the north-west.

Also joining Prestoplan is Peter May, who becomes project manager for the north-east.
