Norbert Dentressangle, which has worked with Premium since 2005, will distribute Premium’s timber products, including doors, decking, and shelving.
Premium is a major supplier to B&Q and operates a 140,000ft2 warehouse in Somerset and a 160,000ft2 warehouse in West Yorkshire, from where Dentressangle makes deliveries to more than 300 sites every week throughout the UK mainland and Ireland.
Deliveries are also made to the Highlands, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. Norbert Dentressangle vehicles are based at hubs in Weare and Dewsbury.
Norbert Dentressangle said B&Q outlets use a sophisticated system of electronic ordering utilising low stock level management to provide a cost-effective operation. "As a result, a rapid and reliable supply and delivery service is required," it said.
"The operation is very flexible and allows us to respond effectively to peak order demands and special requests," added Premium Timber chief executive Clive Gardner.
