Premier Forest Products has completed the purchase of FG Hawkes (Western) Ltd’s stock and other assets from administrators for a seven-figure sum.
The purchase included all the UK trading stock, intellectual property rights (IP), customer lists and some fixed assets.
The IP included the rights to use the trading name, domain name and all product names and logos of the business including Q Board and Pinedeck.
FG Hawkes, which traded as RKL Plywood, went into administration on October 6 owing an estimated £15m.
The company was one of the UK’s largest plywood importers and had an estimated £7m worth of plywood at its UK premises, according to administrators.
