Leading UK door manufacturer Premdor has announced plans to close its Swindon sales operation..
Sales and marketing director Robin Baker said that the move was a response to “tough economic conditions” and that Swindon’s role would be transferred to the company’s Barnsley site.
“It’s important that we look at the potential for maximimising efficiency at all operations and making each facility work for the overall good of Premdor,” he said.
Premdor now goes into a 30-day consultation process with employees on the closure.
