Australian moulding manufacturer and distributor Porta Mouldings Pty Ltd has bought New Zealand-based dowel and mouldings manufacturer and exporter Goodwood Industries Ltd.
Porta Mouldings general manager Robert Borzillo said the aim was to offer New Zealand’s growing DIY hardware market a new timber merchandising programme.
He said the merger would also provide greater access to clear radiata pine resources – a growing timber species in Australia.
