The Coniferous Plywood Quota for 2009 remains unchanged at 650,000m³, The Timber Trade Federation has advised importers.
Coniferous plywood imported within the quota is duty free but then rises to 7% after the quota is taken up.
The duty on deposit scheme will apply whe the quota goes below the 100,000m³ level.
Shipments qualifying under the quota must have the 4412 39 00 10 Customs code and be greater than 8.55m thickness or, if sanded, more than 18.5mm.
