The Welsh leisure contractor is to build a £300,000 18-hole family-friendly adventure golf course called Mole in One at Legoland Windsor and has recently completed an indoor play centre at Conkers in the National Forest, Derbyshire, with both projects featuring mixed softwoods in their construction.

In Derbyshire, WLG has finished a hands-on play area called the Enchanted Forest that uses timber to create an area with “all the elements of an outdoor play attraction but located inside”, said Mike James, leisure sales director at WLG.

It features larger-than-life woodland creatures and plant life that are designed to create the illusion that visitors to the attraction are in miniature.

The National Forest Foundation added that the Enchanted Forest attraction would help continue to bring tourists to the area throughout the year “despite the season or weather conditions”.
