Visitors to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard can now see the timber hulk of King Henry VIII’s flagship Mary Rose‘s more clearly thanks to the introduction of innovative viewing glass.
Pilkington supplied a laminated glass product with a silicone seal to prevent water penetration.
Visitors’ view of the oak timbers had been obscured by the previous glazing, which had turned opaque due to the spraying of wood preservation chemicals on the vessel.
