Persimmon Homes is trialling Norbord‘s new Caberdek Fixing Pack “B” flooring system to help it solve the problem of squeaky floors.
The system being tested at the 22-home Garden Village development at Earswick, near York, uses an adhesive rather than nails to fix flooring panels to the I-joist floor.
Pack comes with a wood adhesive to join tongues and grooves of panels, plus a fast-fixing glue which is applied to the surface of the beams prior to laying.
