South-east London timber merchant Alloway Timber has been awarded Investors in People certification at its five branches.
The company, which claims to be one of the few merchants to have won the accolade, has had to put in place new policies, procedures and training initiatives over the past couple of years.
Alloway, which employs 60 people, hopes the award will help in staff recruitment and retention.
