The Berry Group won another round in its patent case battle when Kronotex was found guilty of infringing two European patents of Välinge Aluminium AB at the District Court of Braunsweig in Germany last week.

Kronotex could be liable for damages – but the decision can be appealed.

After EFP and Parador this is the third consecutive case in which the Berry Group has had infringing products convicted on the German market.

Mr Luc De Clerck, president of the Berry Group, said: ‘Berry is now more than ever convinced of the strength of the Välinge Aluminium patents and we will continue to defend vigorously the intellectual property rights worldwide.’
