Pendrich, which specialises in working at height, is fitting straps to the laminated timber roof to allow the chamber to be brought back into use.
The chamber closed on March 2 when a 12ft laminated oak strut sprang free from its connecting shoe.
MSPs are expected to re-occupy the room by mid-May. Permanent strengthening measures will begin once the parliamentary summer recess begins on July 1.
