The Parkside Group has become one of the largest hardwood sawmilling operators in Queensland, Australia, after buying two Boral sawmills from the state government in a multi-million dollar deal.
The acquisition of the Theodore and Eidsvold mills in Central Queensland is part of Parkside’s long-term strategy to expand its sawmilling capabilities and timber wholesaling operations on the east coast of Australia.
Parkside has given an undertaking to the state government that the mills will produce more value-added products.
