Meanwhile, Allan Brothers, part of the Palgrave Brown Group, has also been awarded Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) chain of custody certification on its range of high performance timber windows.

Tony Walton, group purchasing director at Palgrave Brown, said: “We have a very strong environmental and sustainability policy and it is our intention to continue these certification processes.”

Mr Walton expected chain of custody certification on all the company’s timber would be realised in “the near future”.

“We aim to keep our customers ahead in the sustainability stakes and ensure that we can keep them aware of the many Building Regulations that are continually being updated.

“FSC and PEFC certification forms of identication on our products also mean verification for the customers could not be easier.”

Palgrave Brown has expanded its range of external doors to provide more than 500 different options, all contained in a new colour brochure.

The company has added 12 new designs to its Timedor collection, as well as the new GRP range of fully-finished fibreglass door systems.
