Eighty extra long TJI-joists have been supplied by Palgrave Brown for use in a film set.
The 12m long I-joists will be used by John Mansfield Timber Supplies, based at Pinewood and Shepperton Studios, to build a helicopter landing pad and “solar burn” tower for the film “Sahara”.
James Chanceong, director of John Mansfield Timber Supplies, said: “Our client wanted a cantiliever system and needed a platform with the strength to support a 10ft overhang, giving the impression that it was free standing.”
