Some 70m2 of American white oak whiteboard timber was used in the refurbishment of a pub in Chester by PA Flooring of Nottinghamshire.

A polyurethane adhesive from Havwoods of Preston was used to adhere the hand-finished timber to the existing sub-floor.

After priming, two coats of Bonakemi hard-wearing seal were applied and to compensate for expansion and movement Schlüter expansion joints were used where the timber floor butted up to natural Chinese slate.

PA Flooring also supplied and fitted the slate tiling, ceramic tiles, vinyl and carpet for the refurbishment
