Global consulting and engineering firm Jaakko Pöyry Group has strengthened its structural engineering expertise by acquiring Salminen & Sorasalmi Oy for an undisclosed sum.
JP-Kakko Oy, part of Jaakko Pöyry’s forest industry division, has bought 100% of the shares in €0.7m turnover Salminen & Sorasalmi, which specialises in structural engineering of industrial and office buildings in Russia, the Baltics and Finland.
The acquisition broadens JP-Kakko’s business in Russia and the Baltics.
