OT Africa Line (OTAL) has struck a new operational agreement with Germany’s West-Afrika Linien-Dienste GmbH & Co and French-based Delmas.

OTAL says the agreement will strengthen its service on its North Europe-West Africa route and optimise capacity on the trade.

Marketing manager Rachel Bennett said restructuring the Nigeria Express had resulted in more frequent sailings and improved transit times.

A direct link between Felixstowe and Nigeria has also been re-established, with a fast 16-day transit. A West African bound vessel will generally depart from Felixstowe every four days.
