Sue Osborne, the widow of Clarks Wood managing director Geoff Osborne who died in April last year, has visited the Cambodian orphanages that received donations in Mr Osborne’s memory.

The money was used to buy a tuk tuk that is shared by five orphanages which the couple had been involved in for several years.

“The tuk tuk has made a big difference to their lives,” said Mrs Osborne, “the older ones can go to school now.

“I’m paying Gung, the tuk tuk driver’s wages. He’s never had a job before and he has to work long hours; he spends non-travelling time cleaning it. Geoff would be thrilled with him!”

In memory of her husband, Mrs Osborne has also kitted out a newly-acquired building, which is being called Osborne orphanage and children’s village, and she is fund-raising to build one of six houses in a children’s village. Each house will accommodate 10 children and a house mother.
