The European Panel Federation (EPF) is predicting increased use of OSB in the future.
Its statistics reveal growing OSB exports to non-European countries and new applications for the material, which led to reduced stocks during the second half of 2001.
Despite general economic uncertainty, it says use of the material in construction repair and maintenance as well as in timber frame housing will fuel future demand.
The EPF expects OSB markets to develop in a balanced way during 2002.
