A crop pest nicknamed “Osama” has been described as a threat to trees in the Bomet District, Kenya, according to an MP.
John Koech, MP for Chepalungu, said the pest, also known as the Greater Grain Borer, has damaged maize crops in the district and even feeds on timber.
