Norfolk-based on-line wooden flooring supplier www.flooringsupplies.co.uk has increased its online business by 66% in just five weeks.
The company said the result is due to the development of its new fully interactive website, designed to boost customer confidence in online purchasing.
Predominantly an on-line business, the majority of the company’s orders come over the phone after customers have looked at the website which now has links to national brands such as The Daily Telegraph and Dettol.
Managing director Adrian Lee said: “The new website has really given people greater confidence to book online. We have created an efficient, professional look that seems to help people understand that we are a legitimate business, exactly the same as any high street retailer, but a fraction of the price.”
Mr Lee said the website had also helped increase off-line business and the company has seen its busiest period, with orders up 20% both on and offline.
The new site site also includes “Live Assist”, which will enable Flooring Supplies customers to speak over the internet via a webcam. As well as being able to see samples of flooring online, cusotmers will be able to speak face-to-face with expert advisers about flooring issues.
