Ontario wood product exporters will be speaking with one voice thanks to the formation of a new association.
The Ontario Wood Product Exporters Association (OWPEA) aims to develop and foster global brand awareness of Ontario’s wood products industry and will help members identify trade opportunities and get ready to export their products.
OWPEA is the third such provincial association to form in Canada and will partner wih similar associations already operating in British Columbia and Quebec to access existing export infrastructure and trade information.
Founding chairman Geoff Schimmel said the new association represents “tremendous goodwill and collaboration among those in the industry and with the provincial and federal governments”.
