The launch of a new connector system has enabled Simspon Strong-Tie to attract new customers and develop its Engineered Timber Division (ETD), according to the company.
The Engineered Timber Frame Strap Stainless (ETFSS) is a one-size strap that is designed for cavities from 50-100mm and features a “quick and simple installation process”.
Timber frame firm Vale Timber Frame UK Ltd has started to use the ETFSS and, according to the company’s sales director Andrew Williams, it has “received rave reviews from our erectors and clients alike”.
“50mm cavities for timber frame buildings are no longer ‘the norm’ but this one-size strap makes life so much easier for us,” said Mr Williams.
“We’re delighted that in launching ETFSS we have not only signed up a new buyer of this product, but have also introduced a new customer to our growing business,” said Simpson Strong-Tie head of engineered timber Richard Jarvis.
“Our ETD is continuing to grow rapidly, reflecting the demand for the quality services we offer and of course our product range, which is continually improving and diversifying.”
Simpson Strong-Tie added that the ETFSS has received the European quality assurance CE mark.
