The Papua New Guinea ombudsman is calling for the dismissal of National Forest Board chairman Dr Wario Iamo.

The Ombudsman Commission recommends the action following its investigation into a decision by the forest board to award the Kamula Doso forest management area to the Wawoi Guavi Timber Company, a subsidiary of Malaysian logging giant Rimbunan Hijau, as an extension to its 1999 timber resource permit.
