Paul Grange, former trade centre manager with Lawcris Panel Products, died on October 5 after a long battle with leukaemia. He was 49.

A skilled craftsman, Mr Grange worked in the joinery trade throughout his life and was involved with Lawcris for nearly 25 years as both a customer and an employee.

He headed the trade centre from 2003, growing it into a thriving part of the company’s business. Known for his sense of humour and friendly advice, he had a loyal following of customers, many of whom supported him throughout his long illness.

Paul will be greatly missed by all who knew him and in particular by all his colleagues at Lawcris. He leaves his wife Judith and sons Harrison and George.

Lawcris would like to thank St Gemma’s Hospice, which looked after Mr Grange during the final stages of his illness. Donations to the hospice’s charity fund can be given online at www.st-gemma.co.uk.
