Radiata pine sawmiller Flight Timbers in New Zealand has suffered a major fire.

The fire at the Blenheim plant, home to a sawmill, drying, treating and remanufacturing operations, is estimated to have caused millions of dollars worth of damage.

Flight, which exports radiata pine to Asia, Australia, Europe and the US, expects to be able to continue production at a lower level.

Another building on the mill site, constructed in 2004, was hit by fire just seven months ago.
