Currently the site has just a home page with an “under construction” message (www.nwtta.org), but according to NWTTA president Andrew Masterman it is planned to be up and running in June.

Speaking at the NWTTA’s annual dinner, Mr Masterman said the site was partly inspired by the success of the North East Timber Trade Association’s online activities.

“Under their president Ian Robinson, they’ve developed a tremendous website,” he told TTJ. “It’s been one of my ambitions as NWTTA president to expand our communications with members and our new site will do this as well as providing a means of promoting our product.”

At the NWTTA dinner, Mr Masterman also urged more members to attend its meetings.
