Nordlam is to construct a second glulam line at its Magdeburg facility, Germany.
The company confirmed to TTJ that the 60,000m³ line would be operational around the end of 2012. Smaller glulam cross sections will be made by the line.
Current total capacity at Nordlam is about 195,000m³. Nordlam manufactures the BSH range of glulam products.
Nordlam is part of the Rubner Group, whose companies also manufacture sawn timber, solid wood panels, glulam structures, doors, windows and timber homes.
