An architect with experience in wood promotion has been appointed to lead the Nordic Timber Council‘s involvement in the French equivalent of wood. for good.

Bettina Horsch becomes the NTC’s campaign manager of “Wood…is essential”, which is being funded jointly by the organisation and France’s National Committee for the Development of Wood (CNDB).

Ms Horsch, who has previously worked for CNDB and Arbeitsgemeinschaft Holz in Germany, is responsible for the Nordic part of the campaign and also managing the working group.

An advertising agency is being sought for the campaign, which will kick off with a major publicity blitz. The aim is to achieve a 30% growth in consumption of timber and wood products by 2010.
