The National Hardwood Lumber Association (NHLA) will hold its 115th annual convention and exhibit showcase on September 13-15. Speakers at the convention include Mike Ditka, former coach of American football team the Chicago Bears; John Carpenter, president of Caterpillar Forest Products Inc; and Kevin O’Connor, host of the Emmy Award-winning series This Old House.
The NHLA said the three speakers had been selected for being leaders in areas of change, flexibility, motivation and leadership.
Discussion panels will focus on design trends, international buying and the NHLA hardwood lumber grading rules.
The NHLA said the event’s official name – the Global Gathering of the Hardwood Community – was not just a convention advertising line but a statement representing the association’s commitment to the global market.
