James Latham supplied nearly 2,500m2 of Nexfor‘s Caberfloor at The Belfry golf course for the Ryder Cup competition .

The backdrop for Europe’s resounding victory in the contest was formed by P5 grade moisture resistant 18mm thick Caberfloor , used to cover the structural metal decks of a five-storey administration and hospitality building alongside the 18th green. The customer was Arena Scene Ltd which supplies temporary structures to sporting and entertainment venues.

Arena Scene managing director Martin Blackburn said: “In the past we used to overlay our metal decks with plywood, but the screw fixings caused quite a lot of damage and was not totally satisfactory. Making the change to a tongue and groove product to achieve a floating floor saves time and means there is very little that cannot be reused at a later time.”
