Mr Idermark is currently the CEO of postal operator PostNord and is also chairman of Swedbank and a board member of the Chalmers University of Technology Foundation.
He has previously held positions as group president and CEO of Kooperativa Förbundet/Coop, president of the Second Swedish National Pension Fund, acting group president of the Capio healthcare group and deputy CEO and acting CEO of Föreningssparbanken (Swedbank), and before that Föreningsbanken.
Mr Idermark has been a Södra member for many years and served on the Södra board of directors from 1999-2009.
Gunilla Saltin will continue as acting group president and CEO until Mr Idermark takes up the post next year.
