William Weston has been appointed as a non-executive member of the forestry commissioners’ national committee for England.

Mr Weston, who now works as an adviser specialising in heritage, culture, recreation and landscape, was formerly the chief executive of The Royal Parks Agency. He established the Royal Parks Foundation, an independent charity supporting and developing projects within the London parks, and developed Regent’s Park as a key sports facility. He is a member and planning committee deputy chairman of the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority.
