Swedish wood coatings manufacturer Becker Acroma has appointed John Woolmore as the new managing director of its UK operation.
Mr Woolmore, who was promoted from the position of finance director, has a strong background in wood finishing, having previously run the UK division of Junckers for 15 years. He will also oversee Becker Acroma’s Irish office.
Becker Acroma has also promoted a number of other staff members. On the customer-facing side, Garry Drake has become technical service manager and Mick Strode has been promoted to UK distribution sales manager. Steve Byrne has been appointed as supply chain manager, and heads a new customer service team of Paulette Fowler, Jackie Pruden and Tina Clark.
Behind the scenes, Joanna Mitchell has been promoted to laboratory manager and Frances Armstrong has become global marketing co-ordinator. Ms Armstrong will also retain her responsibilities as UK marketing manager.
