The Xylexpo international wood technology and components show has unveiled its new logo for the 2010 event which takes place at the Milan Exhibition Centre in Rho, Italy from May 4-8 next year.

The marketing image features a head shape in timber containing cogs and electronic circuitry, highlighting the focus of the event on “the most advanced technology solutions and most innovative materials”.

As the organisers promised at last year’s show, the 2010 event will have a “strong presence from companies supplying furniture components and semi-finished wood products”, as well as wood and sheet material processing machinery.

Over 80,000 visitors are forecast to attend and the organisers say that they are expecting 900 companies to take stands, compared with 853 in 2008.
