Richard Lambert is to become the new director of the British Woodworking Federation (BWF).
Mr Lambert, director of residential and commercial policy at the British Property Federation (BPF), will replace Kevin Cubbage who retires in May after six years at the helm.
A former parliamentary civil servant and commercial lobbyist, Mr Lambert has been with the BPF for five years.
He said: ‘The BWF is at an interesting stage of development. It’s come a long way and there is a great deal of potential.’
Mr Cubbage, who will continue as chairman of the British Fenestration Council, said Mr Lambert would bring energy and enthusiasm to the role.
