The first shipment of a new certified hardwood plywood has landed in the UK.
Ekoply XG has been developed by importer and distributor Panel Supplies Ltd and broker Plaut International Ltd to “bolster the amount of Forest Stewardship Council certified hardwood plywood available to the market at a price comparable with non-certified material”.
The 18mm board is manufactured in South America and features a seven-ply lay-up of jointed veneer and a cross-grain face, which Plaut says ensures a “defect free face”.
This, said Plaut, makes Ekoply XG suitable for the requirements of both merchants and end-users and can help negate the need to dual stock.
It is the latest addition to the Ekoply range, following Ekoform, Ekoply marine, Ekoply merchant, Ekoply FR and Ekoply overlay.
