A 14-strong Forestry Commissioners’ Advisory Panel (FCAP) has been appointed to keep Forestry Commissioners up to speed on a wide range of forestry-related matters.
Headed up by Patricia Henton, former chief executive of the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, the FCAP will advise on generic issues of concern to the forestry industry throughout Great Britain, including matters reserved to Westminster.
It will also advise on maximising the environmental, social and economic benefits of forestry, the Commission’s research strategy and development of the timber industry.
