A new slimline wall panel system which combines timber frame and brick cladding has been accepted by the Local Authority National Type Approval Confederation (LANTAC).
Oakley-based Natural Building Technologies says its NW2 system offers equivalent thermal peformance to conventional timber frame and masonry construction, with an overall U-value of between 0.33 W/m2K and 0.20 W/m2K.
The LANTAC approval scheme enables developers to obtain a type approval certificate for a particular design which can be used within another local authority’s area to speed the planning process.
